I am John Castle,

a visual designer with a background in user experience and user interface design. 

Design fascinates me because it constantly examines the current paradigm of online interactions and begs the questions “Can it be optimized? Can it spark (more) joy?”

Great design not only responds to these questions with a resounding YES, but also tells a company’s story through its product.

All my life, I have been passionate about storytelling through whatever mediums I could get my hands on: music, photography, film, and design. I have a love for people and have found that sharing stories is often the easiest way to create new connections with each other. 

My career in visual design invigorates me because it fuses my passion for visual art with my passion for people and problem solving. It is the perfect merger of my years of client relationship experience, my intuitive software knowledge, and my attention to detail and composition. While my most recent work leans more toward visual design, I utilize design thinking and user testing to ensure that my visual choices exceed my clients goals and expectations.

When I am not creating, I love to play with my dachshund mutt, Riley, hike through the NorCal forests, and spend time with my family and friends. I am also a HUGE Netflix fanatic.
